Not very long ago, Anurag Kashyap had made shocking claims about Kangana Ranaut. In an interview with NDTV, he said how the actress was approached for his film Saand Ki Aankh, but she demanded it to be a solo lead instead. Further, Anurag also alleged that Kangana asked to change the character into a young woman. Now, in response to the same, the Queen actress' team has penned a long Twitter and debunked his statements. Kangana Ranaut's team stated how she let the opportunity go because she wanted the makers to cast senior actors, as they would have fitted the bill.

Calling Anurag Kashyap a 'woke liberal', Kangana's team wrote that the actress never met the former in regards to Saand Ki Aankh. She claimed that Vikas Bahl, along with the film's director had come to her place and that's when she asked them to go with senior actors instead. "Just a clarification some woke liberals r bsy lying about SKA, Kangna nvr met @anuragkashyap72 regarding SKA,Vikas Bahel & d directr came to her house,she suggested dey hire senior actors,hiring young actors wl b the same prejudice against elderly women d film intends to fight," read the first tweet.

"She sacrificed a good a script but their desperation ruined an opportunity of a good film about grandparents and senior acrtresses lost out on work who need to be seen by audiences in new light, shame on these jokers for spreading lies," continued the actress' team.

Anurag Kashyap, in his interview, had said, "When Saand Ki Aankh script was pitched by Tushar to Kangana, she said the story is great but what is the need for two characters? Make them one and young and I will do it. All her films have now become about herself. She thinks probably that is how stars make films. She is such a big star but is she empowering people?"
