Bollywood’s queen Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines for multiple reasons. She is known to speak her mind and does not mince her words. Of late, Ranaut has been taking nasty digs at Alia Bhatt and her film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. And, the actress yet again took a dig at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial, this time at the box office collection of the movie. Kangana, on Tuesday, reacted to a ‘blind article’ which claimed that the film's box office figures have been rigged.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana shared the news article and wrote, “Achcha doodh mein pani to suna tha lekin pani me doodh…hmm… kya majbooriyaan rahi hongi becharon ki…” The blind article which the actress shared read, “The film was touted to be a raging success, but a trade insider had another story to tell. Turns out, the weekend collection was portrayed to be double than the actual figures.”
According to the trade source by the said portal, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' started off well but over the weekend, its collection slowed down. The trade analyst asked then how filmmakers can claim that the film brought in a huge first-weekend collection.’ Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had applauded Alia Bhatt starrer for reviving theatres in the South film industry with its record-breaking collections.
Not to forget, prior to the release of the film, the Tanu Weds Manu actress had slammed Alia calling her ‘bimbo’ and ‘papa ki pari’. She had written, “This Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office ... for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act... biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting...yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won't change) no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films ... Bollywood is destined for doom jab tak movie mafia has power...”
