It was a couple of years ago that Kangana Ranaut started the whole debate surrounding nepotism on Karan Johar's popular talk show, Koffee With Karan. Well, the actress fearlessly labelled him as the 'flag-bearer of nepotism' for allegedly running a movie mafia. Ever since then, there has been a never-ending exchange of war of words between the two. Now, Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic demise has only added fuel to the fire. Kangana Ranaut, who has been actively seeking a CBI probe into his death case, has gone on to accuse several Bollywood bigwigs of being responsible for the same. The list also includes Karan Johar.
Recently, the actress' fan club took to their Twitter account and shared a throwback video of Kangana Ranaut openly slamming Koffee With Karan, right in front of the filmmaker. The clip belongs to a reality show that Kangana had graced a long time ago. On the stage, Rohit Shetty asked to her describe what KJo makes his guests drink on his show. Well, without taking the time to think for even a second, the Queen actress said "Zeher pilata hai mujhse puchho” (He serves poison, ask me)." Karan Johar's reaction to the same was unmissable. Even Rohit Shetty seemed to be amused. We wonder what happened next though.
“'A strong woman stands up for herself. A stronger woman stands up for everybody else.' (Against Nepotism Forever) #NationStandsWithKangana," read the tweet by Kangana's fan club. In her interview to Republic TV, Kangana hurled several accusations at KJo. She said, "Sushant was very much okay to go ahead on his own and do his work. After a few years of struggle, he gave a hit film called 'Dhoni'. Now Aditya Chopra doesn't work with him but his best friend, his childhood friend Karan Johar comes into the picture. Very strategically, he hires him and shoots for this film for three years, and then he declares to the world that he is such a flop star, I can't sell the film to exhibitors. I, belonging to this film industry for the last 14-15 years, and I have started my small studio and I have also directed a film, delivered a film, released a film. I want to know in which circumstances, after a blockbuster delivery of 'Dhoni', Karan Johar doesn't have a buyer for a film called Drive? How does that work?"
