Kanika Kapoor's Father Contradicts Singer's Statement; Claims She Partied With 300-400 People Before Coronavirus Diagnosis

Earlier in the day, we woke up to the news of popular singer Kanika Kapoor being tested positive for novel Coronavirus. The singer has had a history of travelling to the UK before she stayed in a five-star hotel in Lucknow. Reportedly, Kanika hid her travel history from the airport authorities and partied with a huge number of people. Now, as per her father, the singer was with not 100 but more than 300 people, that too just before her diagnosis. Yes, you read that right!
In a conversation with Aaj Tak, her father revealed how all members of their family have undergone tests and that Kanika had attended three parties after her arrival from the UK. Not only that, but she also partied with around 300-500 people. He said, “Six of us in our family are undergoing test today at 4 pm. Kanika has attended three parties after her arrival. She came in contact with around 350-400 people in three parties. Along with Kanika, we are also in isolation.”
Kanika, however, rubbished his claims by saying, “I attended a small get together on March 13. My father can't say that I attended three parties. I tried my level best not to contaminate others. Throughout the past week, we were all wearing gloves.”
Further, squashing the rumours of being irresponsible, Kanika said, “I am an educated and hardworking girl. I was part of the scanning process at the airport. I also called the CMO to check me and filled all forms at the airport.” Soon after the news of Kanika Kapoor’s diagnosis was out, the singer took to her Instagram and opened up on her symptoms for Coronavirus.
