Kanika Kapoor officially announced through her social media account that she has been tested positive for COVID-19. Kapoor was the first Bollywood celebrity to test positive for the deadly virus after returning from the UK about 10 days before she was tested positive. The Baby Doll singer stirred up a huge controversy as she attended a party that saw about 100 guests at the Taj Hotel in Lucknow and not staying in self-isolation. As the singer’s friend from the party was missing, the Mumbai based businessman is finally found.
As Kanika Kapoor’s party saw many people that included her friend and Mumbai-based businessman Ojas Desai, the Lucknow police were in search of the friend as he was in close proximity with the singer. According to a report in Times of India, Kanika Kapoor’s friend is under home quarantine after testing negative for COVID-19 at the Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai and has also released a statement. The Mumbai based businessman has been tested negative on March 22, 2020, and is under home quarantine until April 4, 2020.
According to PTI, Kanika Kapoor’s friend was present with him at the social gathering at the Taj Hotel in Lucknow and as he was the one who was untraceable the police had been searching for him. Apart from Ojas Desai, former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and son Dushyant Singh, present at one of these gatherings that also saw Kanika Kapoor, tested negative for COVID-19, but have been under quarantine as well.
Meanwhile, the Baby Doll singer is admitted to SGPGIMS in Lucknow, and recently mentioned in an interview that there is dust and mosquitoes in her room.
