Finally comes the release date of Karan Johar’s much awaited film, Takht. Taking to his Twitter account he termed this project of his career as his ambitious project, and sealed the 2021 Christmas to present it to the audience. This Multi-starrer to be directed by Karan Johar has finalized to release on December 24, 2021.  Its stars an array of talented actors such as Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.  

Along with the release date he also released a teaser announcing of film going on floor from March 2020.  Takht is a period drama and as per reports it is a tale of two warring brothers, Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh. As per reports in India Today, while Anil Kapoor portrays the role of Shah Jahan, Ranveer Singh will be seen as Dara Shikoh and Vicky Kaushal shall portray the role of Aurangzeb. The video has a golden throne with camera zooming out, followed by a voiceover, “Mughal shehzaadon ke liye Takht ka raasta apno ke taboot se hokar jaata tha.
