Karan Johar Summoned By NCB In Bollywood's Drug Nexus Case Regarding His Party Video; Given Time Till Dec 18 To Reply - REPORTS
After the Narcotics Control Bureau stepped in to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's drugs case, it dived deep to expose the supposed drug nexus prevailing in Bollywood. Many Bollywood celebrities came under the scanner. Stars like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh were called in for questioning by NCB. Recently, Arjun Rampal was also called in by the NCB for questioning. Now, the latest report is that Karan Johar has been called in by the NCB.

A report in Republic states the head of Dharma Productions has been called in to be questioned over the 2019 viral video that he had shared on social media. Karan had shared a video from a party organised at his residence and it led to a controversy with people suggesting that the stars consumed narcotics at the party. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also filed a complaint with the NCB over this party video and had requested the agency to look into it.

Now, as per the report, Karan Johar has been summoned by the NCB and he has time till December 18 to respond. 


Earlier, Karan Johar had sent out his clarification on the video and stated that no drugs were consumed at his party. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, he had said, "There were achieving members of the industry who were having an easy night out after a hard week of work, having a good time. I took that video with all the earnestness... would I be putting out that video if there was anything happening at all, I am not stupid"
