Just as Karan Johar and Kajol's friendship was slowly
mending, looks like the celebrated filmmaker has left another celebrity upset
and that is Simi Garewal.
The two attended The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne
(IFFM) along with other Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan, Raveena
Tandon, Konkona Sen Sharma, Malaika Arora,
Rahul Bose and many more.
The show was hosted by Simi Garewal and it seems from her
recent tweet, that KJO went behind her back and did something he shouldn't have
done.
Simi tweeted, "After I finished hosting IFFM Awards
@karanjohar told Festival Director 'Next year I want to host the awards'!
Another takeover?!"

Karan Johar's very popular chat show Koffee with
Karan sort of took over Simi's Rendezvous with Simi
Garewal, which was popular in the 90's. Of course, that left a sour taste
in Simi’s mind.
But interestingly, Simi got all the backing from
Twitteratis who didn’t have very pleasant things to say about Karan Johar.

Karan Johar was awarded the Leadership in Cinema Award at
the Indian Film Festival Melbourne 2017 and also presented the Diversity Award
to Grath Davis for Lion.
Karan Johar also delivered a masterclass at the festival. Mitu
Bhowmick Lange, the fest's director, had said in a statement: "We are
extremely honoured and glad to have Karan (Johar) be part of our festival this
year. He is one of the most reputed filmmakers in India and is such a loved
personality. We here in Melbourne and people of the city are looking forward
for his masterclass which he will be delivering as part of the festival this
year."
Coming back to Karan and Simi, let's hope they solve this
matter by talking and not by blocking each other on social media.
