Kareena Kapoor Khan Reveals Why She Married Saif Ali Khan When Actresses Only Focused On Their Career; Says, ‘Today It’s Suddenly Cool To Be Married’
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan enjoys a huge fan base. With sheer hard work and determination, ever since she made her debut, she became a role model for women. From becoming an actress at a young age to getting married to Saif Ali Khan at the peak of her career and continuing her work even during and post pregnancy, she has set a benchmark for women. She spoke about her decision during a recent media interaction. 

During an interview with ETimes, Kareena was asked if the box office results of her movies bother her in the current phase of her career. To which she expressed that while the collections will always matter, she is not competing with anyone anymore. She went on to explain how she is currently in a happy space as she has always gotten the chance to choose what to do with her life. Recalling the phase when she married Saif, at the peak of her career, Kareena said that she did that because she wanted to. “I did, and it was when no actress was getting married,” she said. The actress further added, “Today, so many actresses are getting married! It is suddenly cool to be married and working. Earlier, it was about not having children. Then suddenly, it was like…okay you can have a child as well and still be working. For the unversed, Saif and Kareena, the couple tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed two adorable sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Apart from them, Saif has a daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan from his first marriage with actress Amrita Singh.

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan has movies like The Crew, Hansal Mehta's next, Sujoy Ghosh’s untitled movie based on the Japanese bestseller The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino in the pipeline.
