Kareena Kapoor Khan Roped In For Sujoy Ghosh’s Upcoming Crime Mystery; Movie To Go On Floors In March-Report

The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ with Aamir Khan. Notably, Kareena, who has a lot on her plate, has bagged another exciting project. Yes, you read that right! The 'Jab We Met' actress has been roped in for Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming crime mystery.
According to a report in ETimes TV, filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh will next be seen donning his director’s hat for his next project which is a crime mystery. It is being said that Kareena has come on board for this project, which is reportedly the Hindi adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s most acclaimed work, ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. Higashino’s novel narrates a story of a single mother who accidentally kills her ex-husband.
Talking about the said film, the upcoming crime thriller will also star Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles. The film is likely to go on floors in March this year. The report added that Kareena has already started prepping for her character.
Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan, will hit the theatres on April 14, 2022. The film marks Kareena-Aamir’s third collaboration together after '3 Idiots' and 'Talaash'. Besides these, Bebo also has an untitled project with Ekta Kapoor and Hansal Mehta, and Karan Johar’s highly-awaited star-studded magnum opus ‘Takht’ in the pipeline.
