Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon. Even before the project takes off, Saif is feeling jittery about his role.
Buzz is, Saif flew all the way to London to meet Vishal. The agenda was to ask for a detailed break-up of his role.
And it's not just his role that he was interested in. The Phantom actor wanted to know about Shahid's role too. Saif seems to be worried that Vishal will be partial to his Haider actor as opposed to his Omkara star.
If you look at things from Saif's point of view, he has much more at stake.
He's going up against one of the most popular actors in Bollywood right now. Shahid has swept the award season with Haider and has big films like Shaandaar and Udta Punjab. Saif's last few releases have not fared well.
Plus, Vikramaditya Motwane's film that Saif rejected has gone to Shahid (Shahid replaces Saif in Vikramaditya Motwane's next, August 4).
So, you see, Saif desperately needs Rangoon to work. So he's taking all the steps to ensure that he doesn't get overshadowed by Shahid.
