India is celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the Kargil War today (July 26), and the entire nation is remembering its heroes, who sacrificed their lives for them. Social media has been abuzz with heartwarming tributes pouring in from every corner. Many Bollywood stars, including Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Abhishek Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Taapsee Pannu, and Raveena Tandon among others took to their respective social media platforms to express gratitude and to pay tributes to our Indian soldiers.

Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Remembering our bravehearts who fought valiantly and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. My salute to our heroes, aap hain toh hum hain #KargilVijayDiwas.”

Abhishek Bachchan shared a picture of soldiers holding the National Flag and wrote, “A day to remember the gallant efforts and sacrifices of the real heroes of the Kargil War. Thank you for shielding us, protecting us, and keeping us safe. Huge respect for all the Kargil warriors Folded handsFlag of India.”

While paying her tribute, Anushka wrote in an Instagram post, “Remembering our brave soldiers and a big salute to their valour and grit! Your sacrifices will never be forgotten. Jai Hind. #KargilVijayDiwas.”
