Karisma Kapoor In Mentalhood, First Look: Biwi No. 1 Is Now Mummy No. 1!
After playing Biwi No. 1 on screen, Karisma Kapoor has now turned Mummy No. 1 for Ekta Kapoor’s new web show, Mentalhood. The TV czarina shared 2 first look posters of Karisma, who’s making her digital debut with this series
Karisma Kapoor is back in action. It’s over 7 years since we saw the Hum Saath Saath Hain actress on the big screen. Karisma is often seen in ads and at fashion shows. But now, the actress is all set to venture into the digital space. Yes, you read that right. The actress is making her digital debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Mentalhood.
Sharing the first look poster of Karisma on social media, Ekta wrote, “When BIWI NO1 becomes MUMMY NO1! N now we come to d final introduction! The mommy most like us! The enabler the narrator d perspective!! The anti thesis of the PERFECT MOTHER is the ever growing EVER EVOLVING ONE ! She tries she cries she cares she fails n she never gives up! Cause motherhood is an ongoing process”
In a telephonic conversation with IANS, Karisma said, “It (acting) is ingrained in you. It is something that never goes away. I was waiting for something really interesting. It was out of my choice that I didn't do any film because my kids were very young. It was out of choice that I wanted to be at home with my family and children."
The actress even revealed that her kids- Samaira and Kiaan are excited about her getting back to work. She stated, “They are excited that I am working again. I started working at a very young age. Everyone in my family has been an actor and contributed to this industry. I have grown up with a really strong work ethic, and I think that's hopefully gone down to my children as well.”
Talking about her digital debut, she told the news agency, “I have been lucky enough to have such a wonderful career and I have done a variety of roles. This is something different for me...a different platform. I have been a radio jockey also. I like trying out different things."
