Kartik Aaryan NOT Approached To Play The Male Lead In Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai
A few days ago, we had spotted Kartik Aaryan visiting Sanjay Leela Bhansali at his office. This led to the speculations of him being approached to be a part of Alia Bhatt’s film tentatively titled Gangubai helmed by the ace director
Kartik Aaryan had become a director’s favourite actor and why not, he brings footfalls to the theatres and helps the film earn money! He is now being signed by many big banners and recently, he even paid a visit to Bajirao Mastani director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Soon the reports started doing the rounds that he is being considered to be the male lead in SLB’s next venture with Alia Bhatt. The film tentatively titled Gangubai is on cards and SLB is hunting for a face opposite Alia. As Kartik stepped out of the ace director’s office, gossip mongers assumed it was him. But sources revealed that it is not true.
Sources say that Kartik has not been approached for Gangubai by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Rubbishing all the reports, the source says, “These reports are baseless. Kartik Aaryan has not been approached to star opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai.” If so, this leaves us with a question as to why Kartik visited SLB. Alia Bhatt who was supposed to feature in SLB's Inshallah with Salman Khan, is said to be playing the titular role in Gangubai.
Currently, Kartik Aaryan has his hands filled with films like Pati Patni Aur Woh with Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar, Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal with girlfriend Sara Ali Khan, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Yup, he is quite in demand and has a packed schedule ahead! It would be great if he gets signed on by Sanjay Leela Bhansali as he is one of the finest directors in Bollywood. It would literally add many stars on Kartik's career graph which is currently growing with lightening speed.
