Kartik Aaryan is rapidly turning into the most committed method actor of his generation. For his role as the television journalist in Dhamaka, he spent time studying the gestures and mannerisms of well-known news anchors on Indian television. The result has to be seen in Dhamaka to be believed, where director Ram Madhvani says Kartik is so convincing as a media hound he could easily be one in real life. And now for Captain India where he plays a pilot, Kartik would actually be learning to fly.

A source close to the project reveals, “It is a real-life mid-air survival story. Director Hansal Mehta is known to favour authenticity. He really can’t have Kartik faking the piloting. Kartik will actually learn how to fly a plane so that he is a hundred percept prepared for the part.” Captain India is the story of a commercial pilot who risked his own life to save hundreds of passengers.

Sources say, between Dhamaka in September-October 2021 and Captain India in July-August 2022, Kartik Aaryan’s fans will see him evolve into a serious committed actor, ready to take risks in pursuit of excellence.

Just a few days back the first look of Kartik Aaryan as 'Captain India' was dropped. It is set based on one of the most successful rescue operations in history in India. Directed by National Award winner, filmmaker Hansal Mehta, and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja, this inspiring action-drama will see Kartik stepping into the shoes of a pilot who showed exemplary bravery and courage in the hour of need.
