Katrina Kaif Deepfake Controversy: Actress Effortlessly Speaks French In VIRAL Video; Netizens React, Say, ‘These Are Getting Scary’- Watch
Over the years, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif made a mark for herself in the Hindi entertainment industry with her versatile performances. She is often showered with love and admiration for aging like fine wine and her thought process. Well, recently an AI-generated video of her effortlessly speaking French at an event went viral on social media, leaving fans confused. Many even expressed how deepfakes are getting scary day by day. It is to be noted that her deepfake video surfaced after Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh, where they were seen promoting political parties for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. 

Sharing the altered video on Instagram, the fan page mentioned that the French voiceover is AI-generated, however, her speech at the event wasn’t morphed or twisted. “It is the exact the same as her original speech,” the fan page concluded in the caption. For those who don’t know, the video snippet belongs from the Mumbai book launch of Bina Kak’s book ‘Silent Sentinels of Ranthambhore (2017)’. The event was attended by Katrina, Salman Khan, and Salim Khan. The actors share a close bond with Kak since they shot for the movie Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. The 70-year-old actress played the role of Khan’s mother in the film. Well, it is safe to say that the morphed video raised a lot of concerns among the netizens. One wrote, “God the deepfakes are getting scarryyyyyyyy.” Another wrote, “It’s the Al, look closer to her lips.” Other one wrote in French, “No, you really speak French???” One commented, “AI at its best. On the work front, Katrina Kaif was last seen on the big screen in Tiger 3. The Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi starrer took the internet by storm with its release. She was also seen in Sriram Raghavan directorial Merry Christmas. Directly released on Netflix, the bilingual noir film, Hindi and Tamil, co-starred Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. The movie was inspired by Frédéric Dard’s French novel Le Monte-charge (Bird in a Cage).
