Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: 'My Aim Is To Present An Unexplored View Of Lucknow,' Shares Faruk Kabir, Director Of The Vidyut Jammwal-Starrer-EXCLUSIVE
Vidyut Jammwal reunited with his team of last year’s drama, Khuda Haafiz on July 22 to take the second part of the franchise, Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 on the floors in Lucknow. Directed by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz released on August 14 last year on Disney+ Hotstar and featured Vidyut and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead role of a newly married couple. The two get separated when the wife goes to the Middle East for job prospects and is kidnapped there while the husband, played by Vidyut, goes to the country to save his wife. The story was inspired by the story of a real-life couple.

Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 sees the return of this team and Faruk is elated by the reunion. “It’s a very good feeling and both me and Vidyut feel very blessed and humbled to get the opportunity to come back like this, so soon after the first chapter. We have a lot of gratitude for this entire process. Both me and Vidyut look at this film like our child as we both are so invested in it,” he says.



Faruk is currently shooting for the film in Lucknow with the entire team. Ask him about this schedule and he shares, “I have brought 74 kgs worth of luggage, so we are here for about two months at least. As for the rest of the shoot, we are shooting in and around Lucknow."


Since a major portion of the sequel is being shot in Lucknow, can the audience expect to see a lot of Lucknow flavour and culture in the film? “Yes, there will be a lot of Lucknow flavour in Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 but my aim is to present an unexplored view of Lucknow. I don’t claim to do something very different but I am looking at Lucknow like a foreigner tourist who has come to this city for the first time. As Indians, we ignore a lot of things that we take for granted, so that perception has given me a different visual perspective,” he concludes.
