A few days back, Indian fashion photographer, Dabboo Ratnani released pictures from his calendar shoot after his 2020 calendar launch event. The calendar featured pictures of Abhishek Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Saif Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and others killing it, whereas Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Sunny Leone, John Abraham, Vidya Balan were seen in Bold avatars. From all the pictures, Kiara Advani’s nude picture from the Dabboo Ratnani 2020 calendar shoot went viral on social media with memes surfacing on the internet soon after its release. Now, the picture gets accused of plagiarism by an international photographer.
Kiara Advani’s bare body photoshoot standing behind a leaf has landed up into trouble. On Instagram, a user firstly called out Kiara Advani’s picture from Dabboo Ratnani’s calendar shoot for plagiarism. The user pointed out the alikeness between Dabboo Ratnani’s calendar shoot with the photoshoot done by International photographer Marie Barsch. As the user pointed out expectation VS reality with featuring the work of both photographers, the user called out Ratnani for copying creativity and the idea behind the picture.
Later, international photographer Marie Barsch also encountered the post made by the user and reposted it on her Instagram story expressing her disappointment in the matter. Sharing the picture, she captioned it, “I just leave that here.” Marie then went on to share snaps of DMs she received from fans mocking her creation against that of Dabboo Ratnani for copying the creativity and idea. Meanwhile, among all celebrities, Kiara Advani’s picture was the only one that took the internet by storm in just hours of its release.
