The first episode of Karan Johar's chat show ‘Koffee With Karan 7’ was undoubtedly high on the dose of entertainment, laughter, and of course glamour. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were the first guests on the show and both the actors were at their candid best. From talking about their respective spouses to making some shocking revelations, the ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ co-stars stole the show with their strong camaraderie. Alia also revealed the person who gave her the best compliment for her performance in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’
During the rapid-fire round, KJo asked Alia the best compliment she received from the industry for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial, and the actress took Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan's name. She read out the message from her phone that Ibrahim sent to her after watching the film. In his heartwarming message, Ibrahim said, “Had to remove the time to message you personally. I cannot believe this is the same lady, I learn from every time I am on set, you're just phenomenal. You're so so good as Gangu and seeing you as Rani and then watching this film, it's safe to say you mould yourself effortlessly, like water taking shape of its container. So so good! Well, after Alia revealed Ibrahim's reaction, the host and Ranveer made some goofy faces and were left quite stunned. To note, Ibrahim and Alia bonded really well during the shooting of 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ While the Raazi actress plays the main female lead opposite Ranveer in the film, Ibrahim has worked as an Assistant Director under Karan Johar.
Meanwhile, Koffee With Karan 7 is back after three years and this time the show made its debut on OTT. It premiered yesterday on Disney+ Hotstar.
