Kriti Sanon Feels One Needs To Be Aggressive To Make Their Place In Bollywood: 'I Have Created A Space Of My Own'
Kriti Sanon who debuted in Bollywood with the 2014 film Heropanti, opened up about her Bollywood journey.  After delivering a series of successful projects, the actress no more feels like an outsider. She said she has made a place for herself in the industry. Speaking at India Today e-Mind Rocks 2021., Kriti said, “I don't call myself an outsider anymore. I am a part of this industry. I have created a space of my own. I feel at home here. I am doing the work that I always wanted to do. People have believed in me and given me many opportunities. I call it my home, my space.”

Though the Luka Chuppi actress won’t address herself as an outsider now, she affirmed it has taken a while for her to reach this stage in her career. “I don't want to call myself an outsider because this is my home. But yes, it has taken a while because I don't come from a filmy background. I think it is like you come into a new world where you don't know anyone. So, it takes time for people to know your name, to see your talent, to believe in you and to give you opportunities outside your comfort zone,” added the actress.

Kriti who took baby steps in Bollywood, crossed paths with people who trusted her and also the ones who didn’t. “You have to take baby steps. After some time, you find people who are at the same frequency as you, who have the same beliefs, who are equally passionate. There will be people who won't believe in you, but there will also be people who will believe you,” said Kriti.

According to her, one needs to be aggressive in order to achieve goals. She shared an example of Priyank Chopra, Taapsee Pannu, Ayushmann Khurrana for reaching great height despite being outsiders. She said, “You need to be aggressive, driven and ambitious. I don’t see it as a problem if I have to reach out to someone. In the end, everything is a business. If you are adding value, it’ll work for you. Look at Taapsee Pannu, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, they didn’t come with contacts, but they built relationships. I’ve tried to do it too.” ALSO READ: Kriti Sanon On ‘Mimi’ Getting Leaked To Other Platforms Prior To Its Release: ‘Everything Has A Silver Lining’
