Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming project Animal is one of the most awaited films of 2023, and it has emerged as the hot topic of discussion ever since the makers unveiled it’s trailer on November 23, 2023, leaving fans in a frenzy of excitement. However, amongst all the star cast, some do not seem to be impressed by Rashmika Mandanna’s performance, as seen in the trailer, and it has stirred a mixed response from the audience. Now, even the self-proclaimed critic Kamal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, has joined the bandwagon.

Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, the movie has been the talk of the town for months, and the release of the trailer has only heightened the anticipation. Sharing the screen with Ranbir are powerhouse performers Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, along with the talented Rashmika Mandanna. 

While Anil and Bobby had heaped praises for their impacting performances, Rashmika’s portrayal in the trailer has stirred a mixed response from the audience. Rashmika has become the centre of criticism as many have taken to social media platforms to express their views, with some believing that her performance was marked by overacting. 

The controversial movie critic Kamal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, joined the criticism by sharing a clip from the trailer featuring Rashmika. In his critique, KRK compared her acting with other actresses like Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandes and Nargis Fakhri who have faced criticism for their not-so-good acting skills.


“It’s proof that @iamRashmika doesn’t know acting and still getting films. But Agar Bollywood Main acting Se Hi films Milti, Toh Fir Toh Katrina, Jacquline, Nargis etc actress Hi Nahi Banti.” KRK tweeted.

Notably, the opinions on performances can be subjective and while Rashmika has faced criticism, it is also possible that her portrayal may resonate differently with diverse audiences when the film is released.
