Only recently, the film went on floors with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan kick-starting the first schedule in Chandigarh, a couple of pictures from the same had surfaced on social media. It saw Aamir Khan in a Sikh man’s avatar, whereas Bebo looked enchanting as a de-glam woman. As per a report in Mid-Day, Mona Singh has come onboard for Laal Singh Chaddha; however, her character details are being kept under wraps. A source close to the film’s production told to the daily, “Details of her character have been kept under wraps.” The source added that the director of Laal Singh Chaddha – Advait Chandan – feels that Mona is the most suitable face for her character and that she is expected to join the film’s first leg in Chandigarh soon.
Interestingly, the Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin actress has confirmed the news with the tabloid. She expressed her excitement by saying, "I am looking forward to our shoot. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you get. For me, it's been a box of wishes that came true. It will be exciting and challenging to play this role as it spans over a lifetime." Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Grump and will release during Christmas next year.
