Lata Mangeshkar Birthday Special: A Grand 12-Hour Long Musical Event To Celebrate The Legend's 90th Birthday
Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar who will turn 90 on September 28, will have a special celebration organized by Jeevangani. A 12-hour musical show will have prominent singers from the industry crooning to 91 songs of Lata Mangeshkar on her special day
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar will be turning 90 on September 28 and it is definitely is a big deal. The Special day calls for huge celebration for her fans and we sure the entire nation would come out to wish her social media. Apart from that, we have now learnt that to mark this big day in the veteran singer’s life a day-long musical presentation will be organized by Jeevangani. This celebration will have renowned singers from the industry crooning to her songs, sung by the Lataji for her Marathi and Hindi project in her career.
Along with this musical show, a book on her titled ‘Lata’ will also be unveiled in the presence of the Mangeshkar family. This musical show will go on for 12 hours beginning at 12 noon on September 28 and will go on till 12 midnight. The show is divided into three segments- the first session will have Lata’s 40 Marathi songs sung by her will be crooned by prominent singers from 12 noon to 5 pm. Followed by the second session beginning at 5 pm along with the Marathi songs, her book will be unveiled. The last session will begin at 6:30 pm and will have singers presenting her 51 Hindi solo songs.
It is also said that the legendary singer and her younger brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar will have a special segment titled ‘Didi Ani Mee’ where many people from the industry will be heard speaking about their experience of interacting with Lata Mangeshkar on some point of their careers.
On her 90th birthday Government of India will confer the veteran singer with the title ‘Daughter Of The Nation’. Lyricist Prasoon Joshi has penned a special song to celebrate this occasion.
