Lata Mangeshkar Health Update: Hema Malini Says 'Let's Hope For The Best' - EXCLUSIVE
Yesterday, we reported that veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar is in the hospital and is under observation. Her sister Usha Mangeshkar had confirmed to us that her health is stable. Now, we spoke to Hema Malini who is wishing for Lata Mangeshkar's speedy recovery
Lata Mangeshkar, who is 90-years-old, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai after she complained of difficulties in breathing. Yesterday, we were the ones to confirm that she is still in the hospital and her health is stable. We had spoken to Lata Mangeshkar's sister Usha Mangeshkar who had given us an update on her health. Now Hema Malini has tweeted praying for the singer, who she says, is in 'critical condition'. Also, according to a few online reports, Lata ji is rather unwell, her condition might have deteriorated, claim reports.
We spoke to her sister at 5 pm last evening and she told us that the legendary singer is getting better. We just hope things stayed stable through the night. Hema Malini tweeted, "Prayers for @mangeshkarlata who is hospitalised & is reported to be in a critical condition. God give her the strength to come out of this crisis & continue to be in our midst. The nation prays for Bharat Ratna Lata ji, the nightingale of India."
We also spoke to Hema Malini after reading her tweet and we told her that we had been hearing stories that Lataji is on the "ventilator". She said, "She'll get back, let's hope for the best." Speaking fondly of Lata Mangeshkar she added, "Lata Mangeshkar lent her voice to all my songs in the 70s. We kept in touch even after she stopped singing. Even I am not doing films now but we keep up with each other via text messages and calls. She is great with pictures and photography and whenever I send a picture to her on the phone, she enhances it via photo apps."
When we asked her if she visited Lata Mangeshkar in the hospital, she replied, "I have not visited her yet. I don't think the doctors will allow. But I am sure she will be fine soon."
