Following the unprecedented spike in Covid-19 cases, Lata Mangeshkar was one of the many popular celebrities who contracted the deadly virus. The senior singer was reportedly admitted to Breach Candy hospital on Saturday. Currently, her family and fans are highly concerned about her. However, a recent report suggests that she is responding well to the treatment and everyone can finally sigh a breath of relief.
According to the latest report, the legendary singer is responding well to the medicines, and very minimum people are allowed at the hospital.
“Lata is admitted in the special Covid 19 ward in the hospital. She has been given the right medicines at the right time and she is responding well to them. However, very minimum people are allowed at the hospital due to her being Covid positive. The people who are close to her are keeping an update about her health through phone and are available if required in an emergency" a source informed BollywoodLife.
The report further informed that no coverage by paparazzi is allowed due to Covid-19 protocols. Elaborating on the same the source added, “Even the paparazzi are not allowed to stand outside the hospital for any kind of coverage due to Covid 19 protocols and their personal safety measures".
Talking to ANI, her niece Rachna said, "She is doing fine; has been kept in ICU only for precautionary reasons considering her age. Please respect our privacy and keep Didi in your prayers."
Recently singer Arijit Singh, Khushi Kapoor, Sussanne Khan, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and veteran actress Nafisa Ali Sodhi were tested positive for Covid.
