The year 2020, for Rhea Chakraborty and her family, was an extremely forgetful one. In June last year, Rhea's boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode following an unfortunate turn of events. As a consequence of the same, Rhea and her family faced an immense amount of social media hatred and media trials. The actress and her brother Showik were even jailed for their alleged involvement in a drug nexus. After some time, however, they were out on bail and have been recuperating ever since.
Not very long ago, Rhea's parents were spotted on a house-hunting spree in Mumbai. Now, the paparazzi spotted Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty doing the same. In a video that has gone viral, the duo could be seen entering the premises. The Jalebi actress had let her hair down and was wearing a pink sweatshirt that had 'Love is power' written on it. This is Rhea and Showik's first public appearance together post getting bail in the drugs case related to SSR's death case.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive conversation with us, Rhea and Sushant's common friend and filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey opened up on the former's current condition. "It has been a traumatic year for her. Of course, the year was bad for everyone. But in her case, it was trauma on another level. Can you imagine any girl from a well-to-do middle-class family spending a month in jail? It has crushed her morale completely. Rhea will return to her work early next year. I met her recently. She was withdrawn and quiet. Didn’t speak much. Can’t blame her after what she has gone through. Let the heat and dust settle down. I’m sure Rhea will have a lot to say," revealed the filmmaker.
