Kumar Sanu's daughter Shannon K is all set to make her acting debut with the upcoming film ‘Chal Zindagi’
Veteran singer Kumar Sanu is one of the most successful playback singers in Hindi cinema with many blockbuster songs to his credit. Notably, his daughter Sanu Bhattacharya, also known as Shannon K, is a popular Indian-American singer and now after making a mark in the singing industry she is all set to make her acting debut. Yes, you read that right! Shannon K is venturing into films with the forthcoming movie ‘Chal Zindagi’ co-starring Sanjay Mishra and Mita Vashisht.
In an interview with ETimes, Shannon K confirmed her Bollywood debut and shared that the film is a travel-based movie where her character would be riding bikes to Ladakh. Kumar Sanu’s daughter was quoted as saying, “Chal Zindagi' is a travel-based movie where we are riding our bikes to Ladakh, which is our destination. The basic moral of the movie is to love your life, realising that it's never too late to do anything.” The Indian-American singer has completed its shooting and the film will soon release in theatres. Shannon had earlier made her singing debut with a pop single titled ‘A long time’ which was written and produced by singer Jason Paul Douglas Boyd.
For the unversed, Shannon K is the adopted daughter of Kumar Sanu from his second wife Saloni Bhattacharya. He revealed this during his appearance on the reality show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani. He adopted Shannon in 2001. Earlier, in an interview, Shannon K talked about her bond with her father Kumar Sanu and mentioned he holds a beautiful place in her life and that her dad never forced her to sing in Hindi.
