Comedian Munawar Faruqui is undoubtedly the most-talked-about and popular contestant on Kangana Ranaut- hosted show ‘Lock Upp’. Faruqui has been making headlines for multiples reasons ever since he appeared on the show. In the latest episode, the comedian made a shocking revelation about his personal life as he admitted he is married and has a son. He revealed the same after host Kangana showed him a viral photo featuring him, a woman, and a kid. She asked him to elaborate on this picture.

In his reply, Munawar stated that he and his wife have been living separately for more than a year now and that the matter is currently in court. He also mentioned that he does want to talk about this on public platforms. The comedian said, “I don't want to talk about this. Not on social media, not on a platform like Lock Upp. This is not something I want to talk about.” In the viral photo, Faruqui can be seen standing with a woman and a child as they all pose together for the camera. Soon after he admitted he is married, fans and the audience took to Twitter to react to this shocking revelation. While some sympathized with the comedian for enduring so much pain, a few slammed him for hiding the truth. One fan commented, This person who makes us laugh is going through so much pain. For God's sake at least for now stop questioning him, love him for what he's. Mai Joker jaisa hasta takleef mein bhii.” Another pointed out, “This was shocking. How can he lie? I am sorry, whatever the situation or reason. He should have told to fans or Anjali that he is married, also he has 3 yrs old kid. Sirf yahi bataya ki bahar koi h as a gf. Means wife k alawa gf bhi h.”




In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Munawar Faruqui had said, “I am not hiding anything, but we have been separate for the past one and a half years. Court ki cheezein ho rahi hain (The matter is in the court) and I do not want to discuss that. It has been difficult.”
