The festival of Lohri is the celebration of the arrival of longer days after the winter solstice. The festival is mostly celebrated in the Northern parts of India, particularly Punjab. People celebrate the festival by lighting a bonfire and dancing. Every year, several Bollywood celebrities send wishes to their fans. This year too, many actors followed the tradition. On the occasion of Lohri 2021, Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Taapsee Pannu, and other Bollywood celebrities made posts. And, they sent heartfelt wishes to their fans.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Amitabh Bachchan made a tweet with a picture art wishing everyone ‘Happy Lohri’. The actor shared the picture and tweeted, “Happy Lohri..prosperity and peace..” While Big B sent his wishes, Kangana Ranaut shared pictures from her childhood and recalled past Lohri celebrations at the Ranaut’s. The actress mentioned that in Himachal Pradesh, they have a tradition of singing Lohri. She revealed that when she was small, children made groups and sang Lohri in neighbourhoods and collected money/sweets. The actress also shared that the children in villages and joint families have much more fun than city kids in nuclear families.

Taapsee Pannu, Athiya Shetty, Rakul Preet Singh and others also wished fans on social media, apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut. Rakul Singh made a tweet and shared a picture on her Instagram stories too. Taking to Instagram stories, Taapsee Pannu and Athiya Shetty shared pictures wishing fans a ‘Happy Lohri’. Taapsee posted a beautiful picture of her sitting by a bonfire. Athiya made a simple post. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife, Sussanne Khan’s sister Farah Khan made a tweet, wishing her followers. She tweeted, “Happy Pongal, Lohri, and Makar Sankranti to one and all. May you have an amazing day and year” The designer wished everyone and hoped that they have an amazing day and year ahead.
