Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding pictures have taken Internet by storm. The couple, who tied the knot in a white wedding on December 1 and Hindu wedding on December 2, were captured by cameras as they were spotted leaving from Jodhpur to Delhi for their first reception.

The Quantico actress wore a green saree pairing it with sindoor and chooda and catty eye sunglasses.  While Priyanka Chopra was enjoying her marital bliss with the man of her life, some haters didn’t leave a chance to criticise the actress for wearing ‘sindoor’, chooda and changing her name on social media.


Recently, a Twitterati named Deepika Bhardwaj slammed Priyanka Chopra for changing her ‘feminist image’ and soon turning into a "coy bride" as soon as she tied the knot. The user wrote, “Scream and shout at top of voice....I dont need a Man, I need a man only to make babies, we aren't 2nd fiddle. Quicky change into a coy bride, say he is the sun and moon and stars, change your name, wear mutthi bhar sindoor the moment you find your MAN. Bollywood Feminists!"

While Priyanka chose to ignore that bitter Tweet, her mother Madhu Chopra didn’t hold it back and shut him down like a boss. Mrs Chopra shot back, "Sindoor is not synonymous with bondage anymore. Watch Priyanka proving it everyday!”

Something similar had happened, when Priyanka first chose to not reply to The Cut.com’s awful article, which had questioned the actress and international singer’s love for each other. That time also Mommy Chopra had said, “It is a happy phase for our family, and we don't want to be disturbed by such idiotic things. I am happy that my daughter is married to someone she truly loves. I don't want to give publicity to those fools. There are some donkeys who do anything they feel like, but their actions don't affect us.” While Priyanka had said,“I don’t even want to react or comment. It's not even in my stratosphere. I am currently happy at this moment and such random things can't disturb me.”
