Karan Johar grabbed a lot of eyeballs after he announced the controversial cast of his upcoming film Kalank. He took everyone by surprise when he roped in Madhuri Dixit alongside Sanjay Dutt after the sudden demise of Sridevi. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles.

Director Abhishek Varman’s Kalank is an intense love story set against the backdrop of partition. One of the highlights of this film is the song, Ghar More Pardesiya, that Madhuri and Alia have shot together. There was a lot of buzz about Alia going through rigorous practise to learn some kathak moves, while Madhuri having a great time on the sets while filming the song. The number which released yesterday on social media, is playing exclusively, all day long today and tomorrow ( March 19 and 20) Ghar More Pardesiya is choreographed by Remo D’Souza, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam.

The 26-year-old  star had shared the first glimpse of her look on Instagram and written: "A song that gave me sleepless nights, days & months is coming very very soon.. I think you can safely say that I have never been SO nervous for anything in my life.. screams frantically and hides under bed You may have to send a search party to find me. Meanwhile, watch this space for more...”

Elaborating on the track, Pritam told a leading daily, “The song is a beautiful jugalbandi between Bahar Begum and Roop. The idea is to talk about love while celebrating the Ramayan. It’s from Sita’s point of view. While working on the track, we would call it the Ramayan song. There are moments from the scripture described in the song in a beautiful and simple manner. We roped in a lot of classical artistes for this track to lend it the kind of purity and grandeur it deserves.”
