Maheep Kapoor Reveals Sanjay Kapoor Cheated On Her During 25 Years Of Marriage: ‘He Had Wanted To STAB Me Many Times’
Maheep Kapoor, who will feature in Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives 2, revealed that her husband Sanjay Kapoor had cheated on her after successful marriage of 25 years
Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives is one such epic drama that revolves around the life of the Bollywood actors’ wives. The show gives an insight into the lives of Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan, Bhavna Pandey, and Neelam Kothari. Now, the second season of this much entertaining show has already premiered on September 2, 2022, on Netflix, produced by Karan Johar.
Maheep Kapoor, during a recent interview, opened up about Sanjay Kapoor cheating on her after the successful marriage of 25 years.
She was quoted as saying by India Today: “Initially in my marriage, there was an indiscretion that Sanjay had or whatever. I walked out with Shanaya. I stood up for myself but then, I had a newborn baby. Again, as a woman and as a mother, the first priority is my child. I owed my daughter this amazing father, which he is. I owed it to myself. And if I look back and if I broke this s#@t up, I would have regretted it all my life. Because when my kids walk into my home, my husband walks into my home, this is their sanctuary. They need to feel peace. And I feel Sanjay gives that to me also.”
Maheep Kapoor further added that she wanted the marriage to work and staying with Sanjay was not at all a compromise, “I wanted my marriage to work. At any cost. And I did it selfishly for me and for my child. It was not a compromise at all. It was for me. No, I have not discussed it. They will find out via the show.”
The mother of Shanaya Kapoor also mentioned that at many stages of life, she and Sanjay had forgiven each other. She was quoted saying, “What happened 100 years ago, of course. And I want to tell you that for me, I am grateful that we moved. Marriage is shades of grey. I know that for him, marriage is lifelong. Forgiveness? We have both forgiven each other on many stages in our lives. I have been a royal fucking bitch. He had wanted to stab me many times. We have grown through this journey and we've come out stronger.”
For the unversed, Maheep and Sanjay got married in 1997. In 1999 they were blessed with a baby girl Shanaya Kapoor and in 2005, their second baby, their son Jahaan Kapoor was born.
