Mahira Khan Opens Up About Her 'Nose-To-Nose' Kissing Scene With Shah Rukh Khan; Reveals SRK Used To Get A Kick Out Of His Kissing Scenes With Her In Raees!
Mahira Khan has revealed that Shah Rukh used to tease her during the filming of Raees as she would stop him from doing certain things during their romantic scenes

Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan set the big screens on fire with their stirring on-screen chemistry in Raees. The duo emerged as one of the most endearing on-screen couples when they appeared in the 2017 film. While they effortlessly managed to put up an arousing display of their sizzling chemistry for the audience, little did anyone know that Mahira was scared to shoot for her romantic scenes in Raees with Bollywood’s ‘King Of Romance’.
Mahira and Shah Rukh’s song Zaalima is still a huge hit amongst popular love songs on various music streaming apps. Unfortunately, Mahira got super nervous about the romantic scenes in the song, and she drew some boundaries during the filming of the song ‘Zaalima’ and there was a ‘war of noses’.
Now, Mahira has revealed that Shah Rukh used to tease her during the filming of Raees as she would stop him from doing certain things during their romantic scenes.
In the latest episode of the podcast, ‘All About Movies With Anupama Chopra’, Mahira shared, “When we were shooting for Zaalima, they all used to make fun of me because I used to be scared, ‘ki kuch zyada na ho jaaye (we do not do anything objectionable). So, I used to be like, ‘you can’t kiss me here, you can’t do this’.”
The actress also shared that Shah Rukh Khan used to jokingly tease her often. “He used to be like, ‘Kya ho gaya hai’ (What has happened?) He, obviously, used to get a kick out of it as well. He used to tease me, ‘Oh pata hai next scene kaunsa hai’ (Do you know what the next scene is?)”
Owing to Mahira’s restrictions, makers were confused about what the actress and Shah Rukh Khan should do on the hook of the song ‘Zaalima. Eventually, everyone decided to go for “nose-to-nose kissing”.
Furthermore, Mahira shared, “We didn’t know what to do on the hook in the song ‘Zaalima’ so it became a joke that since nothing else can happen, let’s make the noses kiss. Let’s go for nose-to-nose kissing. The whole song if you look at it, he just does a little nose thing. He was just like, ‘Will this be okay? Is this okay for you?’ In my heart, I would be like, ‘What do you know?'”
Raees marked Mahira’s debut in the Hindi film industry. However, her Bollywood career soon came to a halt as the tensions between India and Pakistan intensified after the 2016 Uri attacks and artists from both countries were banned from working in the other country.
