Ajay Devgn completely bowled us over with his warrior act in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film not only won accolades for the story but also has enchanted the audience who have been flocking the theatres while increasing their box-office collections. After his warrior act, brace yourself as Ajay Devgn is all gearing up to surprise you with Syed Abdul Rahim’s biopic, in Maidaan. The film is based on golden years of Indian Football, also stars this year’s National Award winner, Keerthy Suresh and Gajraj Rao and directed by Amit RavinderNath Sharma. Titled Maidaan, Ajay will be playing a football coach and on that note, here’s the first look poster of the actor and it looks pretty intriguing.

In the poster, it seemed like Ajay’s eyes are filled in hope to see his team winning the game. He looks pretty young in the poster. While sharing it on his social media handle, “Yeh kahaani hai Indian football ke Golden phase ki aur uske sabse badey aur successful coach ki. #Maidaan.” He even shared another poster where he seen in a common man’s avatar who cheerfully kicks the ball. He captioned that poster as, “Badlav lane ke liye ek akela bhi kafi hota hai #Maidaan.”

Since sports dramas do click with the masses as there are many sports enthusiasts who could relate to it, we are sure this film too will touch everyone’s emotion, especially a football player. The film is presented by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. 


Directed by Amit RavinderNath Sharma of the National award-winning film ‘Badhai Ho’, Maidaan is produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta, screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively.


Maidaan is all set to hit the big screens on November 27, 2020.
