Bollywood actress Bhagyashree is known for her debut film Maine Pyar Kiya until she chose to walk away from films to live a happy life with her husband and kids. Even after garnering huge fame due to debut film Maine Pyar Kiya co-starring Salman Khan, the actress opted to walk out after the success. As the actress quit Bollywood even after having some of the biggest projects, Bhagyashree reveals filmmaker Yash Chopra called her ‘stupid girl’ in front of her son Abhimanyu Dassani. Know why?
Speaking with Pinkvilla.com, Bhagyashree shared that late filmmaker Yash Chopra called her ‘stupid’ in front of her son Abhimanyu for her decision to walk out from films after the massive success of her movie. She said, “ I actually refused most of the big films of that time. Every time I would meet Prakash uncle or Yashji (Chopra), they would fire me in front of everyone standing in front of us. Even very recently, a few years ago, when I even walked up to Yash uncle and introduced Abhimanyu to him, he told my son, “Yeh tumhari maa hai na, woh industry ki sab se stupid girl thi’.” The Maine Pyar Kiya actress mentioned that the late filmmaker Yash Chopra would fire her in front of everyone because she refused most of the big films of that time.
Bhagyashree went on to reveal that filmmaker Yash Chopra wanted her to work and mentioned how she always rejected his projects. She said, “He really wanted to work me and I would always say no.” The actress then added, “After Maine Pyaar Kiya, every big film was offered to me, especially the ones these directors have done,” and revealed how she was offered all the big films by certain directors, but always rejected the projects.
Meanwhile, during the interview, actress Bhagyashree also mentioned that she wasn’t sure if she would be accepted by the society as a married actress and revealed that she hence decided to walk away from films to lead a happy life with her husband and kids. The Maine Pyar Kiya actress marked her comeback with the TV show Laut Aao Trisha in 2014. Talking about Bhagyashree’s family, her son Abhimanyu Dassani marked his acting debut with 2019 film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. The actress is married to producer Himalaya Dassani and the couple are parents to kids Abhimanyu and Avantika.
