Strange as it may sound, Mallika Sherawat is keen to play Aamir Khan’s better half in Dangal. Buzz is, two weeks ago, the actress auditioned for casting director Mukesh Chhabra for the role. And the surprise doesnt end there.
Mallika turned up in a completely de-glam avatar she was dressed in a simple salwar kameez and sported absolutely no make-up.
Sources say she was almost unrecognisable in her plain Jat avatar.During the audition, the Dirty Politics actress easily rattled off pages of dialogue in shudh Haryanvi. The Jat accent came effortlessly to her since she is originally from the Hissar district of Haryana.
Dangal traces the story of former wrestler Mahavir Singh from Haryanas Balali village who coached his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari to win at the Commonwealth Games.
While Aamir plays the wrestler, newcomers Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra have been cast as the daughters.
