Mamta Kulkarni has resurfaced and this time, it’s thanks to her husband Vicky Goswami. The drug lord, who converted to Islam to marry the hottest Bollywood actress of 1990s, was caught in Nyali, Mombasa with his wife at the residence of Baktash and Ibrahim Abdalla. Mamta, according to Kenyan newspapers, was taken into custody by the local police along with her husband on charges of drug trafficking.
According to reports, Vicky Goswami was detained after a major drug bust undertaken by the US Drug Enforcement Administration and the National Police Service of Kenya, but Mamta wasnt. The head of the unit investigating the case, Hamisi Massa, told the local press that the “suspects are liable to charges of conspiracy to traffic narcotic drugs in the US and Kenya and if found guilty, will attract severe penalties.”
Cliff Ombeta, the lawyer representing the accused, including Goswami, admitted that Mamta was present in the house during the raid, but said that she was not arrested or detained. She is at her place and absolutely safe and free.
