Man Vs Wild episode featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hosted by Bear Grylls had created much excitement amongst people even before the episode hit the TV screens.  People couldn’t wait to watch it and Bollywood celebs such as Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and others showed their eagerness as they waited for the show to air. Ever since the trailer of the show was shared by the host on July 29, there has been a flurry of excitement. The show aired on Discovery Channel in India last night and now celebs and famous personalities have a proud moment and are all praises for PM Modi.


Highlights:
The episode starts with a trek  across Uttarakhand’s Jim Corbett National Park. PM Narendra Modi welcomes Bear Grylls to India.
Bear Grylls and Prime Minister Narendra Modi make an improvised spear to tackle tigers.
PM Narendra Modi  says "At the age of 17-18, I left my home to understand the world better. I decided to go to the Himalayas since I liked nature. Those moments drive me till date," 
"One can never fear nature. We should never think of nature as something fearful or scary," 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also crossed a Himalayan river in a raft.
"Before we take anything wrongfully from nature, we should think about our future generations," said Narendra Modi.
"This was a wonderful experience. I am hopeful that via this episode we can send a positive message to the world about India," said PM Modi.


Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman took to Twitter and wrote, “Showcasing #IncredibleIndia as a lived-in experience @PMOIndia narrates with ease, even in the wild, how caring for nature is a part of our civilisational value. @narendramodi in #ManVsWild sets standards in documenting #Nature,” while Bollywood celebrity Randeep Hooda tweeted, “A great message to the masses of the country in Hindi translated in English for the world @narendramodi #EnvironmentalConservation is most important for the future of our planet that we all share.. for our future.. for us .. thank you @BearGrylls @DiscoveryIN love nature.” Scroll down for more reactions and praises for the episode:










This was the first time we saw PM Narendra Modi in unchartered territory venturing into the wild forests of Uttarakhand. This episode was shot in the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand in January 2019.

The episode of Man Vs Wild featuring PM Narendra Modi came in at a time when there is a major concern over climate change and will hopefully  bring in awareness on environmental issues.
