Manisha Koirala, who hails from Nepal, is one of the leading actresses of the 90s, and she starred in several hit Bollywood movies over the years. She was recently seen in the Netflix film Maska, and left the audience impressed with her role. It was a few weeks ago that Manisha Koirala was slammed by Netizens for supporting the new map of Nepal. Now, amid India- Nepal border row, Manisha Koirala’s tweet about ‘sovereignty’ did not go well with Twitterati, who criticized her for the same. Her tweet came just days after the Upper House of Nepal’s parliament endorsed a new political map for the country incorporating Indian territories.

Manisha Koirala took to her Twitter yesterday, and wrote, “Territorial sovereignty + political sovereignty + economical sovereignty = sovereign state !! Let’s mull over this !! Gm”. The actress was soon slammed for ‘lecturing about sovereignty’, while a few called her ungrateful towards India. A user asked, “you surely mean #nepal right ?” to which Manisha replied, “I was simply mulling over where Nepal stands today n where it’s heading in future, on these fronts..we kinda know the past .. not saying it’s either good or bad.. just mulling..”

After a while, Manisha Koirala reacted to the criticism coming her way. She requested people to not get aggressive and disrespectful. “A heartfelt request please let’s not be aggressive and disrespectful..we are in this situation together..our respective Gov’s will resolve the issue. In the meantime we can be civil. I remain hopeful,” she wrote.
