Some days back, Kangana Ranaut took to her Twitter handle and shared that she feels Mumbai city is like Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) This obviously didn't go down well with certain people in the city as well as the Maharashtra government. Since then, there has been a clash between the actress and the Maha government. Nonetheless, speaking about her remarks, Manoj Bajpayee and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha reacted on the same while talking to India Today. In the interview, Manoj and Anubhav shared what the city means to them and what they have got from the city where the former called Mumbai a magical city while the latter credited all his achievements to this city.
He was heard saying to the news channel, "Bombay is a magical city. It means magic can happen in one’s life. For instance, the person you are talking to, where does this person come from? Who is this man? Who is Anubhav Sinha? (filmmaker) Who are we? Where do they all come from? We have made our village, district, city, parents, relatives, friends proud. But for what? Because magic happened in our lives and who cast magic on us? It is a Mumbai city. What was the magic? It was the opportunity that was given to us to make everyone proud or to give them a reason to feel proud of us. All this happened because of Mumbai city and the film industry."
Sinha adds on, “Mumbai city is very different and large from other cities. Initially, one will feel like, if they can be a part of this city or not. However, once the city embraces you, it will throw you on the ground as well as it will take you to the seventh heaven. Nevertheless, people who come here with dreams, they have fulfilled it. According to me, Mumbai is an amazing and elusive city. Whatever I have, all are given by Mumbai city."
