The winner of Miss World 2017 beauty pageant Manushi Chhillar could possibly crack a meaty deal. The lady has given a look test to star opposite Saif Ali Khan in the web show Tandav that’s being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar
After earning accolades for his portrayal of cop Sartaj Singh in the web series Sacred Games, Saif Ali Khan is ready to dive deep into the digital world with the new web show Tandav. The show will be based on American political thriller House of Cards and it revolves around Indian politics.
Now, we have an update on who could possibly be the leading lady opposite the Nawab. A source close to the production exclusively told us that beauty pageant winner Manushi Chhillar dropped by at the Yash Raj Film studios to give a look test for Ali Abbas Zafar's digital venture Tandav and her appearance fuelled speculations of her presence on the show. While, the look test has been done, Manushi's selection is still under wraps. If Manushi indeed cracks this, it’s going to be a big opportunity for the Miss World 2017 winner to work with experienced talents like Ali Abbas Zafar and Saif Ali Khan.
A couple of months back, there were reports of Manushi possibly marking her big screen debut opposite Ranveer Singh in a YRF project. Nothing was announced after that, but the beauty pageant winner is surely attracting good offers her way.
Coming back to the web series Tandav, it will be directed by Bollywood filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar who marks his debut in the digital space. While the rest of cast is unknown, it is believed that the shooting for the series will commence in the next couple of months and the release should happen in mid 2020.
Speaking of Manushi Chhillar’s achievements, she is an Indian model and the winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant. Chhillar is the sixth representative from India to win the Miss World pageant. The 22-year-old model represented Haryana in annual Femina Miss India competition and was crowned Femina Miss India 2017 in the finale.
