Rani Mukerji is back with a bang. She has come back to the silver screen with a sequel to her hit 2014 film Mardaani. Cop Shivani Shivaji Roy aka Rani Mukerji is here fighting the evil and saving the society. Mardaani 2 that made it to the theatres this Friday is receiving great reviews from critics as well as masses. So much that even Aamir Khan is now excited to watch this film. Aamir and Rani have been friends for ages and it is no surprise that he has come out to wish all the luck. 

Aamir took to his Twitter handle and stated that he's hearing only good things about Mardaani 2 and that he can't wait to watch the film. He tweeted, "Rani!!! Hearing great things about Mardaani 2! Can't wait to see it. Congratulations and all the very best! Love .a." Rani and Aamir Khan have done many films together like Ghulam, Talaash and more and it is indeed a sweet gesture done by a friend to come out and root for another friend. Talking about Mardaani 2, the story revolves around a brutal rape and murder case which Rani Mukerji makes it her mission to solve. Critics, as well as audiences, have given a thumbs up to Rani Mukerji's performance. However, the film has taken a slow start at the box office. On day 1, it managed to mint approximately Rs 3.80 crore at the box office. Not great but a decent start.
