Mary Kom Beats Deepika Padukone And Priyanka Chopra To Become Most Admired Woman In India
In interesting news, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are defeated by the world boxing champion Mary Kom to become the Most Admired Woman in India. As per a survey conducted by YouGov across 41 countries and 42,000 people, the list was selected on the basis of influence, awareness and trustworthiness
Bollywood beauties Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra get a tough competition from world boxing champion Mary Kom. While the ‘Most Admired Man’ was given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the list and MS Dhoni second to him with 8.58%. In the female categories Mary Kom has raced ahead of everyone, topping the chart. The survey to pick ‘Most Admired Man and Woman’ was conducted by YouGov where 42,000 people from 41 countries were considered on the basis of likability, influence, awareness and trustworthiness. Well Done Mary!
We wonder what will be Bollywood beauties thinking now. Besides these vivacious divas, Mary Kom competed with Kiran Bedi, Lata Mangeshkar, Sushma Swaraj. Mary achieved an admirable score of 10.36%, where Dippy scored 6.35% on 5th position and PeeCee followed with 5.11% on the 8th position. Amazingly Mary is the only sportsperson on the list of top 25 women as per conducted survey. Mary Kom herself was surprised with it and her astonishment was very much evident on her Twitter handle. Sharing a link of leading daily, she wrote, “Is it ? I can’t believe it...Woah and thank you.”

We feel Mary truly deserves this title not only for her thorough sportsmanship making India proud on the world map, but also her back story, her family life following her rise in personal and professional life.
Priyanka Chopra had portrayed Mary Kom in the biopic which went on to become a huge hit at the box-office. Film had won one of the prestigious awards, Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards in the best film category in the year 2015.
