Maths Genius Anand Kumar On Super 30 Star Hrithik Roshan: ‘He Is Humble, Attentive And Warm’-EXCLUSIVE
Hrithik Roshan played the character of the mathematics genius from Patna-Anand Kumar in his 2019 film Super 30. In an interview with SpotboyE, real-life Anand Kumar talks about Hrithik Roshan in details. He also shared his first experience, meeting the actor.
Maths maverick Anand Kumar can't stop raving about Hrithik Roshan who played Anand in the 2019 film Super 30. “He is such a big star and so handsome. But there is not an iota of vanity in him. When I agreed to visit Hrithikji at his residence I was not sure of how I’d be welcomed. But the minute I walked into his beautiful home I was made to feel comfortable. He is humble, attentive and warm.”
Anand says he likes Hrithik’s work. “I don’t get time to watch too many films. But I’ve seen Krissh and Koi…Mil Gaya and I was very impressed by Hrithikji.”
About Hrithik not resembling Anand the latter observes, “I am aware that Hrithik doesn’t look anything like me. But I don’t think the physical resemblance is as important as understanding my personality. And I feel Hrithik with his sensitive approach to characters was able to project my thoughts opinions and world-view much better than any other actor.”
Anand also enjoyed meeting Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan. “I’ve watched his films from my college days. I loved Khubsoorat and Khatta Meetha. In fact Rakeshji’s favourite song Thoda hai thode ki zaroorat hai from Khatta Meetha is also my favourite song. Every time I feel inadequate and dissatisfied with life I hum that song and I feel okay.”
When Hrithik visited Patna he bent down and touched Anand Kumar’s feet in full public view, eliciting oohs aahs and wah wahs of all of Patna’s drooling fans.
Anand Kumar couldn’t control his emotions. “Hrithikji came to Patna like a hero and left like a super-hero. He said it was Guru Purnima and on this occasion when all students honour their teachers, he wanted to touch my feet. And he did! For such a big star to show such humility kindness and generosity is rare. If he says I am his guru then I say I’m Hrithik Roshan’s fan. I want to thank him for taking my story to every corner of the world. Hrithikji said, after spending two years of his life playing my character he felt he was a Bihari in his last life.”
The film Super 30 was directed by Vikas Bahl and starred Hrithik Roshan, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi.
