Ankita Konwar had quite an adventurous birthday celebration, as she rang in her 28th birthday by climbing Africa’s highest mountain with hubby Milind Soman
Bollywood actor Milind Soman is one heck of an adventurous man and, now, that he has got married to another adventure freak and his ladylove – Ankita Konwar – the two are scaling heights, quite literally. Ankita Konwar, who celebrated her 28th birthday on August 30, 2019, didn’t have a mainstream birthday bash. In fact, she, along with her husband Milind Soman, rang in the special day by climbing the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the highest mountain in Africa. Though are we surprised here?
Taking to his Instagram account, Milind Soman shared a romantic sneak peek from their adventurous getaway and wished his ladylove. The picture sees Milind and Ankita sharing an intimate lip kiss, as they reach on the top of Mount Kilimajaro. In his caption, other than wishing Ankita, the actor also revealed that she is the first Assamese woman to climb the highest mountain of Africa. “JAMBO people!!! What an amazingly beautiful 28th birthday for my #superwife Ankita Konwar and what a way to begin your 29th year, reaching #Uhuru peak, at 19,341ft, the highest point of Mt #kilimanjaro, the roof of Africa !!! And, I think, the first Assamese woman to do so,” read a part from Milind’s caption. Check out the picture below:
An excited Ankita Konwar replied to Milind’s post saying, “Couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for being you.” Well, she also shared a couple of pictures from their adventure trip and thanked Milind for his love and support. Ankita wrote, "It was a climb alright! Celebrated my 28th birthday by climbing the highest mountain in Africa #kilimanjaro and summiting the highest peak at 19341 feet #uhurupeak!! And by doing so, became the first #assamese woman to have done it. It did require a lot of courage, patience, and resistance to reach the top but it was all worth it."
After years of dating, Milind Soman got hitched to Ankita Konwar, who is 25 years younger to him, in the year 2018. The couple often gets trolled for their age difference, but they pay no heed!
