Mithila Palkar Speaks Out On Rejections And Favouritism; Reveals A Time When 10 Girls Auditioned For A Role But The One Who HADN'T Got The Part
Katti Batti actress Mithila Palkar recently opened up on favouritism prevailing in Bollywood and shared that there needs to be a system through which nobody feels that people are being unfair
Words like favouritism and nepotism are being widely discussed on social media post the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Netizens are bashing bigwigs of Bollywood for not acknowledging talents who do not belong to filmy families. Now, Mithila Palkar who appeared in a film called Katti Batti in 2015 has shared her thoughts on favouritism prevailing in Bollywood. As she is looking forward to the release of her web film Tribhanga co-starring Kajol, Mithila shared that everyone deserves to get a fair chance to succeed in this industry.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Mithila shared that there have been times when a role has gone to an actress who hasn't even auditioned for it while the others who did face a rejection. She was quoted saying, "It does happen that ten of us audition for a project and none would get through, while the one who doesn’t audition, gets the role." Talking about receiving opportunities on the basis of talent, Mithila further said, "We need to have a system where nobody feels people are being unfair to them. Give us the same opportunities where if we excel,we get the project or else we don’t get the job.”
Mithila also expressed that she wouldn't like her father or his friends to recommend her to film producers and directors and rather, would like to achieve success on her own. She shared that she is content with the success she has achieved in the last few years.
