Recently, Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to the hospital due to chest pain and weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. Following diagnosis, it was revealed that the veteran actor had experienced an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) affecting the brain. Fortunately, after receiving treatment, his condition improved, leading to his discharge. The encouraging update is that Mithun is on the path to recovery and has resumed his professional commitments. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who visited him on the sets of Shastri, shared a video update showcasing the actor in good health, signalling a positive turn in his recuperation journey. The filmmaker known for Fashion, Page 3 recently made a friendly visit to Mithun Chakraborty on the sets of Shastri in Kolkata. The filmmaker spent quality time chatting with the seasoned actor and shared the delightful encounter with fans through an Instagram video. The venerable actor, appearing robust and in good spirits, chimed in, "I have known this man (Madhur) since his young age. He used to sell video cassettes. My wife would call him and say, ‘Madhur, I need this cassette,’ and he would come. Now look, this man is a five-time National Award winner. This only happens when your dream comes true. I always tell people that your dreams should come true. Hard work and all will happen, but dreams should come true.”
Following his release from the hospital, the 73-year-old emphasized that his health setback was a consequence of his own negligence. Acknowledging his voracious eating habits, he expressed, "I eat like a demon. So I was punished. My advice for everyone is to control your diet. Those with diabetes should not assume that indulging in sweets won't impact them. Manage your diet," urging his fans to be mindful of their dietary choices and especially emphasizing caution for those dealing with diabetes.
