After Arjun Kapoor-Malaika Arora, Aftab Shivdasani is the latest Bollywood actor to contract novel Coronavirus. The actor, who recently welcomed a baby girl, tested positive after he decided to get himself checked as he started having mild symptoms. Taking to social media, Aftab shared the news with his fans and asked people, who met him in the last couple of days, to get themselves tested. It was just on Sunday Arjun Kapoor revealed he tested positive, and on Monday Malaika announced the same on Instagram. Both are asymptomatic and are advised to isolate themselves at home.
Aftab Shivdasani wrote, “Hope you all are fit and fine and are taking care of yourselves. Recently I started showing minor symptoms of a dry cough and mild fever and I got myself tested for Covid-19. Unfortunately, the results came out positive and under the medical supervision of doctors and the authorities, I have been advised home quarantine. I request all those who may have come in contact with me recently to please get yourself tested just to be safe.”
He further wrote, “With your support and good wishes, I will recover soon and be back to normal. I can’t emphasize more the need to socially be distant, use masks and sanitisers as much as possible as it can save lives. We will win this together. Love, Aftab.”
Earlier, Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and others were tested positive. After defeating COVID-19, Big B and Jr. Bachchan have resumed work.
