Moral Policing On Consensual Sex? Bollywood Says A Big 'No'!

It seemed right out of Masaan where Richa Chadda and her partner find their privacy invaded while they are having sex in a hotel room.
In a horrid case of life imitating art, 40 couples were picked up by the police from hotels in Madh Island and Aksa area and detained, humiliated and fined last weekend. One of the girls was slapped by the police and one of them said that she is contemplating suicide.
SpotboyE.com spoke to B-town celebrities to find out what they feel about the incident:
Richa Chadda (Actress): Why not stop sexual crimes, why punish a male and female who are having sex out of choice? Why not look at illegal trafficking, paedophilia, acid attacks? It's very sad that the young are being taught morals like this. It will backfire. How can you charge people with public indecency when they're in a private room?
Hansal Mehta (Filmmaker): The government has stated in Supreme Court that the right to privacy is not a fundamental right. This has given them a license to intrude into your private space. We are becoming an invasive nation. Frankly, I am not surprised. Yeh achche din hain bhai!
Prahlad Kakkar (Ad guru): Acche din kaise aayenge? Congress has stopped the functioning of the Parliament. There is a strong influence of the RSS everywhere. The Talibanisation of the country is so frightening. Banning of beef and porn, and now this - where are we heading? Rakesh Maria is a sensible man, he has ordered an inquiry into the incident. The police vardi is for maintaining law and order, not for moral policing.
Ahmed Khan (Choreographer, Director): Once you are 18 and in a relationship, you'll have to go to a police station to seek a letter of permission to have a physical relationship with your beloved. I think we will require a card to have consensual sex, just like we need a card to vote.
Mahesh Bhatt (Filmmaker): The police may have had a reason to do what they did. That place in Kandivli, I am told, is not safe. Let's not jump to conclusions and cry foul without hearing the other side of the story. There must be something more than what meets the eye.

FDI isn't happening. The Chinese are investing in Pakistan and Russians are gifting them attack helicopters. All this is happening and nobody cares. But my daughter, with so much hate in this world, should shut doors to perform an act of love. You're right, she should be slapped.
Rape, you perform. Bribe, you take. Terrorists, you miss. Sex rackets you can't find. But my daughter should hide her face for having consensual sex. She should be slapped. Why?
Because, she should have done it right in front of you, those couples should have done it right in front of you because flashing penises in heavy traffic and grabbing boobs at public places don't bring you humiliation do they? Because those assh*les perform these acts proudly. So my daughter MUST BE slapped for hiding her face for expressing love to her partner.
So let me explain to you the meaning of 'public indecency' dear saints -- it is an inappropriate act performed in PUBLIC spaces. For example, when you ask for a bribe shamelessly in public or when you paint the walls with urine each and every day of your life -- that is public indecency.
