Mouni Roy Stranded In UAE; 4-Day Trip Stretches Out To 2 Months, Says ‘Didn’t Imagine World Will Shut Down’
Television’s one of the stunning actresses Mouni Roy is currently in Abu Dhabi, UAE staying with her childhood friends. The actress had been to the Arab country for a magazine shoot which was supposed to be four-day trip. Mouni’s work-trip was extended due to the Coronavirus pandemic but it’s been 2 months since she’s been stranded in Abu Dhabi. Amid the lockdown, all the domestic and International flights have been suspended due to COVID-19.

Speaking about the same, Mouni told Mid-day, “After the shoot, I decided to stay back in Abu Dhabi for two weeks, as my next project was scheduled to kick off only on April 15. I was possibly ignorant, but I didn’t imagine that the world will shut down. I have been stuck here with four days’ clothes.” The actress further added that she is also concerned about her family in Cooch Behar. She said, “I have been checking on them every day. I am relieved that my brother is by mom's side at this time. My cousins also live close by, that's an added advantage.”

Mouni further added that she’s eager to return to India. “I have been oscillating between anxiety and calmness. Everybody around the world is going through a hard time. So, I sought solace in the fact that I have a roof over my head and a warm family, away from home. That said, I am eager to return to India.” Mouni calls herself lucky to find a home on foreign land.

On the work front, Mouni Roy will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.  (ALSO READ: Bridal Looks Of Erica Fernandez, Divyanka Tripathi, Shivangi Joshi, Drashti Dhami And Mouni Roy; Who Looked The Prettiest?)
